People like to pick on Rockford a lot. And while there's love rooted in the teasing, there are a lot of positive things people should know about the Rockford area.

Here in the Stateline, we have a lot that we should be proud of and laugh about. So, for anyone heading to the Rockford area in the near future, this is for you. Here are some interesting, funny and good things that many outsiders don't know about the area.

Positive Things To Know About Rockford, Illinois Before Moving Or Visiting

I'll start with one you'll probably notice right off the bat... because how can't you?

We Have TONS of Car Washes

I mean... literally. Like, on EVERY corner.

If you're visiting, you're probably going to think everyone here must be rigid about having clean cars. Which, to me, is a green flag haha!

If you stop by and need a quick carwash, you're gonna find one somewhere. Just drive a block haha!

The Food Scene Here is Amazing

Rockford has so many delicious options when it comes to food. Not only that, it's incredibly diverse.

It's so good, it's sometimes hard to make a decision on where you want to eat. But to me, that's a good problem to have. If you're craving good food, there's gonna be a place here to fill you up and also give you great service.

Even for locals who have been here a while, the city is always bringing in new tasty restaurants for us to try!

There Are Some Really Kind People Here

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

I don't care what people say or think, the 815 is a great place solely because of the people here who are genuine and sweet. And also, to mention, the people here who work their tale ends off to make a positive impact here.

If you need help, someone in town is going to step up and support you. I know that for a fact. And that, to me, is the greenest of green flags!
