3 Things Rockford Could Really Use Right Now

In my opinion, Rockford is an awesome place with genuine people and fun activities to do.

I truly believe that this place has been working hard to bring more positivity and opportunity to the area. Just in the past year, we've had so many amazing businesses open, had multiple events come to town and so much more.

However, and maybe it's just me, there are still some things that I wish we had here in the Stateline. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels some type of way about these things.

Again, this is all good fun! Rockford is great, and I hope this list gets read by the right people to make it just a teensie bit better.

Important Things That Rockford, Illinois Needs

I'll start with something I have my own personal frustration with.

More Apartment Options

For the love of all that's good in the world, finding good, safe apartments in the area is hard. This has been a personal struggle that's sent me to bed in tears.

Things are either too expensive, no utilities included or it's straight up not in a good spot. The hunt for a decent apartment is tough and options are so limited sometimes.

PLEASE, bring in more options that are affordable and secure! I'm begging!

Cheesecake Factory

Just gonna selfishly put this out there because I love Cheesecake Factory. Having one come to the area wouldn't hurt, right? Well... maybe it'd hurt my wallet lol.

More Chain Stores in the Mall

I grew up loving stores like Dillard's, Tommy Hilfiger, Rue21, and so much more. This may be a stretch, but I wish we had more options like them in the area.

Contrary to the popular opinion, I actually don't mind the mall. I just wish those bigger-name stores I've loved for so long were available there.

I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things people wanna see here. What are some things you think Rockford needs?
