3 of the Most Annoying Sounds You’ll Hear in Rockford Right Now

Not gonna lie, Rockford is a noisy place to live.

People in the 815 are constantly moving and hustling, so maybe they don't notice all the weird and annoying sounds this town produces... but I certainly do haha.

Some things bother me more than others, but these have creeped their we into sending chills down my spine.

Before I start, I want to (again) disclose two things; 1) this is meant to be lighthearted and fun, and 2) I do enjoy living in Rockford. I am just writing this to make people laugh about the experience of living here.

The Schnuck's Self-Checkout Voice

I love shopping at Schnuck's but if that lady tells me "Please remove item from the bagging area!" when I didn't put anything in it one more time, I'm gonna have a meltdown.

I call her the "Schuck's Lady", and I swear she ups the ante when I shop. Secretly, I think she doesn't like me, but that's just me haha.

Her voice haunts me... sometimes I hear, "Do you have any paper coupons?" in my nightmares.

Loud Motorcycle Sounds

My boss, who just moved here, said this one and I do kind of agree.

The busy roads here like Perryville are probably the worst when it comes to this. People here seem to love revving their engines at stoplights, and it's a little bit annoying. Especially bright and early in the morning!

The Airplane Sounds

I hear these sounds all the time when I'm out and about for some reason.

Between the airport and UPS, things get a little noisy. Thank God for earbuds haha, because that's the only thing that drowns them out while I'm walking on trails and see one flying.
