Rockford has its own personality that is so amazing, but also incredibly chaotic. Sometimes, you just need your own spot for a break from all the commotion going on.

If you get a little overwhelmed by the busyness of Rockford, you're not alone. I'm right there with you. Finding a spot where you can just relax and get some peace can be hard here. People's driving alone is enough to set me over the edge living here haha!

So I've been on a mission trying to find places just to catch a break from the demands of work and life! Luckily, Rockford has many spots that I think should be more appreciated!

I can't say enough about how gorgeous this place is. I'm 100% with the hype of this spot. If you're into yoga, they do outdoor yoga here too in the summertime. I've done it a couple of times and absolutely loved it. If you're someone who recharges in nature, this spot's for you!

Local Coffee Shops

I'm a huge coffee consumer! Rockford has so many amazing local options for coffee cravers like myself. Velvet Robot, Inzombia, Meg's Daily Grind and so many more are all great spots! Sometimes, kicking back with a cold brew and book can make a day SO MUCH better!

Hiking Trails

Whether you're hiker or a biker, Rockford has tons of options for getting outside. There are trails all over Loves Park, Cherry Valley and Rockford for anyone to check out. I love going for walks in trees or by a river. Minus the geese, walks in the area are pretty fun!

Gyms

I'll be honest, I'm not someone who enjoys cardio. Hiking is one thing, treadmills are another. BUT, Rockford's home to some pretty incredible gyms with classes for pretty much anyone. There's cycling, yoga, pilates, kickboxing, martial arts and so much more. And the gyms are big enough to have your own space with no one directly bothering you!

I'm happy to hear any more suggestions that you have too! Next time you're a little off, check one of these spots out because they're all great ways to away from the town while you're in the town. (if you get what I mean haha)
