Eyesores are everywhere, and sometimes it's really annoying to have to run into them every single day.

In Rockford, we have many beautiful spots to be proud of; like Anderson Japanese Gardens, The Coronado, beautiful hiking trails and much more.

However, there are still a few things that I have to vent about seeing in this town. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets frustrated running into these things.

Now, I want to remind people (again) this is all in good fun and meant to be unserious. It's an innocent way to include people in an experience that we more than likely all go through.

The Ugliest & Biggest Eyesores You'll See in Rockford, Illinois

Let's start with one I know we all vent about.

The Massive Potholes

The potholes here are so bad, that you'd think a giant monster pounded its fist into the ground. They're literally everywhere!

I'll hand it to the city, they have made an effort to take care of them, but there are still a lot of areas in town that need some TLC.

The Littering

This one personally makes me annoyed because there is absolutely no excuse for it.

I can't stand when people litter, and so many people here tend to do it. It's lazy, it's selfish and it really impacts the community and its environment.

For the love of all that's good, stop littering!

Car Parts on the Road

Maybe it's just me, but I'm constantly dodging car parts lying in the road (especially on Alpine.) And some days it's not just glass, it's GIANT car parts.

Might just be the repercussions of Rockford people's scary driving, but it's not a good feeling having to see it. You just hope everything and everyone is OK.

SO Many Abandoned Buildings

This one just makes me sad. It sucks seeing amazing buildings go to waste.

I just wish we could find use for them and not let them deteriorate so much. Either that or just get rid of them.

I want to end by saying I'm proud of the efforts and progress that the city has been making to make Rockford better! Aside from these things, the 815 has a lot to offer and is pretty awesome!
