
Illinois Homeowners: That Cucumber Smell in Your Garage Isn’t as Harmless as You Think
As the seasons change, under certain unusual conditions, some animals are said to give off a scent similar to cucumbers. Strange but true! While bats and birds are typically attic dwellers, be aware—more serious critters can occasionally make their way into garages and nearby areas.
While many animals will seek shelter from this colder weather, some are actually deadly, and are important to avoid. Besides visual ques, you can also usually noticed a strange smell. According to the state.com, highly venomous snakes like rattlesnakes and copperheads smell like this vegetable. Seeing as though you can find both in Iowa it's a good idea to keep your eyes or nose open for these little guys who may be in your garage, or home.
