Extreme Halloween Fun

There are Halloween decorations, and then there are the people who decide Halloween decorating should become a full-time production. I have massive respect for those people.

I love decorating my home for holidays and often wish I had the time and money to go ALL OUT, especially on Halloween for trick-or-treaters.

I don't think many people realize how much time and effort it takes to create massive displays for the public to enjoy for free, so when I see something cool like this house in Wisconsin, I have to share it.

Wisconsin Home Transforms Into a Wizard-Themed Halloween Display

By day, the house at 1652 Silverado Drive in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin looks like this:

But during the month of October it turns into something like this:

The video above is from 2025, and this year the house has a brand new theme.

The home's owner, Aaron Vokoun, describes this year's display as a " Harry Potter-style experience" according to WMTV, filled with witches, wizards, broomsticks, potions, and more spooky stuff.

Vokoun started this Halloween tradition about five years ago, and a lot of the decorations people see are handmade each year and take hundreds of hours to create.

When Is the Display Open to the Public?

Do you know what's even cooler about this house on Silverado Drive in Sun Prairie? You don't just drive slowly by to see it, you can get out of the car and walk through it!

The display is located at 1652 Silverado Drive in Sun Prairie and will be open to the public to walk through Thursday, Friday and Saturday of Halloween weekend (October 29, 30 and 31) from 6 to 8 p.m.

There's also one more reason to put this house on your Halloween radar: the homeowners are collecting donations for Sunshine Place, which is a Sun Prairie community resource center and food pantry.

So, if you're the kind of person who loves finding the best-decorated houses in October, this is one Wisconsin address I'd put on the list.

Because anybody can put a skeleton in a lawn chair.

It takes a completely different level of Halloween commitment to spend months creating an entirely new world in your front yard every year.

And I am absolutely here for that.
