
Illinois Could Get First Snow Flurries in Next 10 Days
Since we are still getting high temperatures hitting the 80s in late October, it seems we're a long way from flurries and low temps going below freezing.

But according to the latest extended forecast from the Weather Channel, our first snow could be in the first week of November.
Unseasonably Warm Temps End Before Weekend Arrives
The Rockford region will have Summer-like weather again on Wednesday (10/30) with high temperatures expected to be near 80.
For Halloween on Thursday (10/31), high temps cool off into the mid-60s with strong winds expected throughout the day as temperatures drop into the mid-30s on Thursday night.
The first day of November comes in cold winds with highs only in the lower to middle 50s on Friday, and lows in the mid-30s on Friday night. Saturday and Sunday highs will be in the low 60s, according to the current extended forecast from the Weather Channel.
First Snow Flurries in Extended Forecast for Rockford Region
The Weather Channel 10-Day forecast predicts a stretch of wet and cool weather for northern Illinois beginning Sunday, November 3 through Tuesday, November 5 when there's at least a 70 percent chance of showers each day and highs in the lower 60s.
On Wednesday night November 6, the latest forecast from the Weather Channel has low temperatures around 32 degrees and a 30 percent chance of precipitation, which could produce snow flurries.
Colder temperatures are expected to stick around beginning November 6, when there are 7 straight days with high temperatures in the mid-50s and lows every night in the mid-30s.
