
Rockford Police Seize Drugs, Weapons in Major Bust on 22nd Street
One man is in custody after a major drug bust by the Rockord Police led to the seizure of drugs, loaded weapons, and cash.
Major Drug Bust Unfolds in Southeast Rockford
According to a press release from the Rockford Police Department, the Narcotics Unit executed a targeted search warrant on Tuesday (June 3) in the 2200 block of 22nd Street.

During the search, officers recovered a massive amount of drugs, firearms, and other contraband:
- Two loaded handguns
- Drug paraphernalia
- Various ammunition
- Cash
- Over 83 gross grams of cocaine
- Multiple pills of Ecstasy
Rockford Man Facing Multiple Felony Charges
After the case was reviewed by the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office, 21-year-old Steven Brown of Rockford was arrested and charged with several offenses following the bust on 22nd Street:
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
- Possession of Ecstasy
- Unlawful Use of a Weapon (2 counts)
These charges are accusations, and he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, according to the Rockford PD press release.
