New ‘Sleigh Bar’ Pop-Up Is Bringing Adult Holiday Fun to Downtown Rockford

For those who think there are never enough Christmas events for adults in Rockford, this new holiday pop-up from Rockford City Market might be exactly what you’re looking for!

Right after Halloween I saw this post pop up from Rockford City Market, and I thought: "Hmm, I wonder what this could be? Another specialty indoor market?"

It turns out my first assumption was way off, and I'm very happy to admit I was wrong!

New Christmas Pop-Up Bar Opening in Rockford

When it comes to Christmas, I have a “go-big or go-home” mentality.

To me, there’s no such thing as too many Christmas lights, Santas, wreaths, trees or ornaments, and I expect every Christmas pop-up I visit to embrace exactly that.

Thankfully, Rockford City Market understands that assignment and is ready to deliver on November 22!

For thirteen nights only, the space formerly occupied by Quixotic Bakery and Velvet Robot Coffee Lab inside the Indoor City Market building will transform into a festive pop-up experience called Sleigh Bar!

Besides lots of Santa-inspired décor and festive photo ops, Sleigh Bar will also feature music, signature cocktails, wine, seasonal canned beer, and mocktails. (Note: it's a cash-less bar)

Sleigh Bar will be open on Friday and Saturday nights from 4 to 11 p.m. starting November 22 through January 3, 2026 (with special hours during Stroll On State and other special events).
