There are some days it's not worth getting out of bed.

This is one of those situations where you wish you could just crawl back in, pull the covers way up over your head, and give it a try tomorrow.

Imagine the helplessness that must have occurred the moment this driver realized their car was dipping into a sinkhole.

A Rough Start to the Day

It would be one of those never forget kind of things that you'd be amused and horrified at the same time.

The entire incident was captured by WISN 12 News in Milwaukee earlier this week and shared on Facebook, with the post stating, "Yikes, this sinkhole is located at 107th Street and Brown Deer Road in Milwaukee."

This Ford Explorer was taking it's model name a little too seriously attempting to see what was underneath the pavement.

That’s One Way to Explore the Road

There's a touch of irony too, as a "Pit Stop" and "Touch Free" sign are photographed just over the hood of the spelunking vehicle.

The Internet Had Thoughts

While most of us were slightly amused, the Facebook comments on the WISN 12 News post ranged from hilarious to angry:

  • Stop using those Oreo bits to fix the roads
  • My landlord would fill this with caulk
  • Just slap a magic carpet on it
  • And this is why you don't drive thru large puddles
  • Sink Hole De Mayo isn't till May, I thought

This SUV might have taken the plunge, but the Facebook comments are what really went deep.
