Calling All Wizards! Illinois’ First Harry Potter Shop Opens This Spring

Accio, Illinois wizards and witches! Get ready to hop on your Nimbus 2000 and head to Chicago for a fully immersive Harry Potter shopping experience opening this April!

Are You a 'Potterhead'?

I believe there are three kinds of 'Harry Potter' people:

1. People who love all things 'Harry Potter', know which Hogwarts house they belong to, and proudly wear their house robes for special occasions.
2. People who enjoyed reading all the 'Harry Potter' books and watching all the movies, but don't have Potter merch everywhere you look.
3. People who have no clue who 'Harry Potter' is much less understand the mania.

I may be a member of the #2 group of people, but even I was pretty excited to learn there is a Harry Potter Shop opening soon in Chicago, Illinois!

Harry Potter Shop Opening in Chicago

When I tell you there is a Harry Potter Shop in Chicago, I'm not talking about a limited time pop-up, I'm talking about a permanent store filled with Harry Potter merchandise, clothing, butter beer, and more!

Here's a few view from the Harry Potter Shop in New York...

So far only two Harry Potter Shops exist in the world, one in New York and one in London, but on April 10, 2025, Chicago will finally get to experience Harry Potter shopping fun first hand.

According to WGN;

Located at 676 North Michigan Avenue, the store will offer shoppers theme areas to explore, a Butterbeer Bar, candy offerings and Chicago-specific merchandise.

A statement from the company also touted the place will feature a Golden Egg, a stained glass window and the Goblet of Fire itself.

Soon Illinois Potterheads will be able to buy cool merch like;

• Wands
• Robes and Hogwarts house apparel
• Stationary
• Collectibles
• Books
• Jewelry...and more!
