I never considered how lucky we got it in Rockford.

I mean, we got a Red Lobster.

If that's something you never thought you'd say before, imagine what it must be like to live in Wausau, Wisconsin.

The First Stunt: “Lobster Garden”

This town is so hungry for a Red Lobster that it created a "Lobster Garden" sign advertising a half-Olive Garden and half-Red Lobster in an effort to get the seafood chains' attention so they would consider opening a restaurant in town.

It got Wausau some publicity then, but ten years later, not much, but the hunger for a Red Lobster apparently remains.

That's because another stunt was pulled just a few days ago in Florida.

The Banner Over Florida

Someone flew a banner over Orlando and above the headquarters of Red Lobster reading:

Damola, Wausau WI loves Red Lobster! Please? XO

Damola Ademola is the CEO of Red Lobster. While we're not sure if the public plea reached the head honcho, their social media team was on it.

The Response (and Non-Response)

There was no word of a Red Lobster team being immediately sent to Wausau to scout a new restaurant.

Personally, I doubt it. While the restaurant says they appreciate the stunt, there is no plan to open a Red Lobster in Wausau.

Your Nearest Biscuit Fix?

For now, Red Lobster loving residents of Wausau will have to travel 90 minutes or so to the nearest Appleton or Green Bay location to get their Cheddar Bay Biscuit fix.
