New Mountain Coaster in Wisconsin Dells Is a Must-Do for Families
I love when someone tips me off about something new before our annual Wisconsin Dells trip, and this one’s a keeper: there’s a Coaster in the Dells now, like, a mountain coaster.
Twist, Turn, and Scream (With Joy) Through the Wisconsin Dells
That’s right. You can now fly through the hills of Wisconsin like you’re in an Alpine action movie, but with seatbelts and a brake you can actually control.
What Even Is a Mountain Coaster?
Think roller coaster meets scenic nature trail, only you’re in the driver’s seat (literally). Each open-air sled runs on a track that winds down the hillside, using gravity and momentum to zip you through banked turns, dips, and curves. You get to control your speed with a simple hand brake, which means you can take it slow and scenic or channel your inner daredevil. It’s like the sledding hill got a major glow-up.
You'll be taking a POV ride below.

A Family-Friendly Adventure, No Matter the Season
This is one of those rare attractions that works for everyone: your thrill-seeking teen, your cautious kindergartner, and yes, even you after two hours at the waterpark. And because it runs year-round, you can do it in shorts or snow pants. Honestly, how many Dells rides can say that?

Worth the Detour
Next time you're in the Dells, don’t just float the lazy river for the 400th time, do something new. The Mountain Coaster is open daily and gives you a fresh way to experience the rolling hills of Wisconsin (and possibly scream-laugh the entire way down).
