Sad News: Long Time Wisconsin Restaurant To Close This April
As we've share news that Joann's in Rockford is closing, The Scrap Jar is opening in downtown Rockford, and Sonic has re-opened on Riverside, there's one more business saying goodbye this April in the region.
Crave in Wisconsin has been serving the public for nearly a decade. As of Monday, March 3rd, they've announced they'll be closing their doors this April.
It's sad whenever a local business closes. We've said goodbye to so many local shops over the last few years, but it never gets easier to say farewell to another!
To clarify, no, this is not the restaurant in Rockford. This is a restaurant in Wisconsin.
This is what Jodi posted to Crave's Facebook page:
"Dear Friends and Loyal Customers,
After nearly a decade of serving up thousands of Crave Curds and hand-muddled Old Fashioneds, we are announcing that Crave will be closing its doors. We will remain open through Friday, April 18th, with the exception of being closed on April 12th for a private event and catering job."
She goes on to say they'll continue their normal business hours, which gives their customers a chance to come celebrate with them and share a few more memories. You have until April 18th to dine with Crave!
"There’s no long explanation—just that timing is everything. It has been an incredible journey, with a lot of memories made, and a community that has supported us every step of the way. We are beyond grateful for our amazing customers, dedicated employees, and this wonderful town that has embraced Crave from the very beginning."
The response was tear-jerking. Everyone sharing their favorite memories dining at Crave in the comment section, and even former staff members thanking Jodi for the job opportunities.
