Why Can’t Rockford Drivers Look Before Switching Lanes? [VIDEO]

Here's another reason I can't stand driving in Rockford but also love Dash Cams.

My friend saw that I had been posting all of my Dash Cam videos of all the horrible drivers in Rockford that he started sharing his videos with me!  I love to see it.

What I don't love?  Seeing people drive recklessly in this town.

My friend, Austin, was coming off the interstate and turning onto E State Street by the Hard Rock Casino, staying in his lane until the coast was clear to switch lanes, when another car to his left decided to make a pretty dumb decision.

The driver slowly switched lanes without even checking to see if anyone was next to them.  They casually slide on over to Austin's lane like he wasn't even there.

Like—are we forgetting to check our blind spots before switching lanes?!

I get it.  You're in a hurry, trying to get to your destination, and sometimes you don't totally look all the way when maneuvering around traffic.  Around that area, you have to be on your game.  It can get really chaotic by the casino already; we don't want an accident to hold up traffic even more.  That's for sure!

This isn't the first Rockford driver this week to make us have a little road rage.  Just a few days ago, I almost t-boned someone on N. 2nd Street after they came to a complete stop for no reason.  And, someone else cut me off on Spring Creek like rules of the road didn't exist.  What is up with drivers lately?!
