Mamas Feel Good Food's Seasonal Closure in Loves Park

One local foodie spot in Loves Park broke my heart a little bit after seeing the news they shared on Facebook.

I've always been a soup person. I don't care if it's 100 degrees outside, if there's soup to be eaten, I'm there. That's why I was so excited that Mama's Feel Good Food was opening just down the road from my house this past winter! They occupy the Dairy Depot space during winter and move out during summer. It's such a great way to fill the vacant space, while filling our bellies!

With delicious homemade soups, desserts, artisan bread, and hot cocoa, I'm so sad to see them close for the season! Great things come to an end, though. Temporarily!

If you're also a soup lover, make sure you get your last fix this weekend because it's the last time you'll get to taste it before they close up shop for the summer months. They won't be gone forever, but Dairy Depot is moving back in soon!

This Loves Park Foodie Spot Closes After This Weekend

It's not goodbye, it's see ya later.

Mama's Feel Good Food shared to Facebook this message to their loyal customers:

"Well folks, this is it.
This Saturday and Sunday will be our last weekend of Soup Season so you're prooooooobably going to need to stock up on your favorites!"

There are two features this weekend:

Cream of Chicken and Wild Rice
Last Chicken Enchilada.

Their iconic Mama's Boys Baked Potato and Lulu's Love Dumplins will also make their appearance. And for dessert? The Alexander Cannoli will be available! Yummy.

Dairy Depot hasn't announced when they're reopening for summer, but we're all wondering! I keep checking their Facebook page and website. They're one of my favorite ice cream spots to enjoy a grasshopper parfait on the hottest days in Rockford!

As one local shop closes, another opens this weekend! The Scrap Jar is officially opening for Art Scene weekend in downtown Rockford, as well. Lots happening in the Stateline.
