Spring in Illinois is beautiful, but if you have cats like me, you've got to be extremely careful this time of year.

I have two indoor cats, Ramen and Noodles, who don't really understand the outside world.  They know they enjoy the breeze from time to time but quickly run back inside when a car or bird pass by.  They're indoor cats with a love for limited adventure outdoors!

That's why I've been educating myself on what flowers and plants to keep an eye out for around my yard in case they decide to take a little taste when I'm not looking.  Some can be really toxic, and even deadly, to cats.

Spring In Illinois: Flowers That Are Extremely Toxic To Cats

  • Amaryllis
  • Lilies (most toxic)
  • Daffodils
  • Crocus
  • Hyacinths
  • Tulips
  • Peonies
