Adorable Small Illinois Town Was Named as One of the Most ‘Quaint’ in the Country

Getting out and about is so much fun, especially when you have amazing small towns to visit and explore. Well, you have one more Illinois town to add to your 'must-visit' bucket list!

I'm always the type of person who enjoys being out and about to experience new things. Having grown up in a small town, I can confidently tell you that sometimes it's the little towns that have the most to offer. Amazing food, fun entertainment and the intimate local vibe make these towns so special.

Illinois has many of these towns that are fun for a quick outing away from Rockford. As a matter of fact, one of them was just highlighted for these exact reasons.

WorldAtlas published a list of 8 cities throughout the country that fit into their qualifications of 'quaint-ness.'

The small towns of the Northern U.S. are humble, quaint, and ripe for travelers bent on enjoying the sancutary of wilderness and the charm of the quintessential small American town.

Lucky for us, an Illinois town nabbed a spot!

Yup... I'm definitely going to be adding Nauvoo, Illinois to my 'must-visit' list. That temple looks absolutely stunning, I can only imagine how it looks in person!

Located along the Mississippi River, Nauvoo is about an hour and 40 minute drive from Rockford. This town sounds like the perfect little day trip. So many places to tour, cool shops and delicious restaurants.
