Iconic Vehicle Got Into A Scary Accident On A Popular Illinois Highway
It's been a rough week for the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Apparently this past Monday, the iconic vehicle was involved in a crash in Illinois.
I have a family member who's obsessed with visiting this thing. No joke, she's probably seen it in person at least over a dozen times. I'm sure right now she's greatly concerned after recent events involving the Wienermobile.
Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Involved in Crash on I-294 Near Oak Brook, Illinois
According to reports, the Wienermobile and another car were headed north on I-294 when the Wienermobile rolled over after hitting the other car and losing control.
Thankfully, everyone involved seems to have been reported as safe and with no injuries. The incident left the right lane of the highway closed for just over an hour.

With a vehicle that massive, it's scary to think about it rolling on such a busy highway. It's a blessing that no one was harmed.

A spokesperson for the Oscar Mayer brand stated,
We're grateful that everybody involved was safe abd tgere were no injuries. .. we appreciate the support we've received from local authorities.
Future Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Appearances
As we all know, this thing travels all over to make special appearances. I'm pretty sure one year it made a stop in my hometown.
I looked all over for statements about the vehicle's condition and how this accident impacts upcoming planned appearances. Apparently, the show is still set to go on!
